Jane Anderson-Buffington, MSN, RN

jane-buffington-bioJane has been a nurse for more than 25 years. In 1990, she received her Bachelors in Nursing from Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia. She attended Georgia Baptist College of Nursing at Mercer University where she obtained her Masters in Nursing in the field of Adult/Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist in 2006.

Buffington has worked in many areas of the nursing field. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor at Brenau University School of Nursing where she teaches high acuity/critical care nursing. Prior to her teaching career, she was the Director of Nursing for the Northeast Georgia Heart Center. The majority of her nursing career has been in the cardiovascular field including cardiac cath lab, cardiac intensive care, stroke care, and Quality Management. She is a professional member of the American Heart Association, American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the Vice President of the Nu Gamma Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.
